Kamala

Kamala is the lotus goddess among the Ten Mahavidyas, closely related in imagery and themes to Lakshmi, with traditions that emphasise prosperity, fertility, beauty, grace and spiritual abundance. Images of Kamala are commonly recognised through lotus, elephants, gold and auspicious water imagery. The name is also encountered as Kamalatmika. Some details change across sectarian, regional and temple traditions, which is important when writing an accurate overview.
