Durga

Durga is a powerful form of Devi celebrated as the destroyer of forces that threaten cosmic and moral order, with traditions that emphasise protection, courage, righteous power, victory and divine motherhood. Images of Durga are commonly recognised through lion or tiger, multiple arms, trident, discus, sword and conch. The name is also encountered as Mahishasuramardini, Chandika.
