A housewarming, a baby's naming day or the first puja at a new shop are moments a family remembers for years. Occasion and ceremony kits gather the samagri a pandit usually asks for at such events, so the hosts can focus on guests rather than last-minute market runs.
Ceremony kits are larger than everyday sets. A griha pravesh box may include kalash items, mango leaves, coconut, navgraha samagri and havan material, while a namkaran or mundan set leans towards items for the child's ritual. Vehicle puja kits are smaller, often with nariyal, kumkum, a lemon-and-chilli string and flowers to be added fresh.
Priests often send their own list, so share the kit's contents with them a few days ahead and ask what else is needed. Keep the box in a cool place until the day. After the ceremony, unused dry items like camphor or mauli can join your regular puja supplies, and the remaining havan samagri can be stored for a later ritual.
